A self imposed “staffing shortage” that is designed to maximize corporate profits, you even hinted at it in your blog post, different marketing conditions exist, so different that they have $15 minimums at their craps tables… They feel they don’t need the free pulls now, maybe they will change their minds sometime, I used to do it myself…
]]>Their entry level pay appears to be $9 to $12 an hour, and as a business that’s open 24/7 you’re likely to get the worse shifts to start. So yeah, their wages is certainly a big issue.
]]>It’s because there’s a staffing shortage.
]]>It’s not wages.
]]>I remember the Horseshoe $1 million display well.
It was Binion’s that divorced me from downtown. In 2013, they charged me $4.50 for parking after I spent all afternoon in their casino. The validated parking voucher was good for only 2 hours and I was there 4.5 hours.
Binion’s Parking guy: “That’ll be $4.50, sir; have a safe trip home and come back soon.”
Me: “Right. [subvocally]: don’t hold your breath; or, on second thought, do.”
I haven’t set foot anywhere downtown since then, and have no plans to do so any time soon. You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression, or a last one.
Las Vegas has my official permission to go to the Nether Regions in their own fashion. I just hope they didn’t spend it all in one place.
Same here ??those were just a part of Fremont street to me..For years at Four Queens I’d see the same older gentleman employee offering a free spin. Sadly I stopped seeing him . Because of his age I worried .
I have several pictures with the million at Binions..Here’s hoping to these returning but I won’t bet on it .
