Confirmed: Gordon Ramsay Burger Set for Flamingo
It often takes a little time for news releases and local media to catch up, but our scoop has been confirmed: Gordon Ramsay is bringing Gordon Ramsay Burger to Flamingo Las Vegas.
We shared news of Ramsay’s seventh Las Vegas restaurant months ago, as is our way.
Gordon Ramsay Burger at Planet Hollywood is about the best burger you’re going to get on the Las Vegas Strip, so this is welcome news for Flamingo fans.
Gordon Ramsay Burger will move into the Bird Bar space, formerly the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar.
The restaurant will have a patio, which will provide some of the best people-watching anywhere in the world, like it or not.
Here’s the Bird Bar patio as it looks today.
The new restaurant at Flamingo is expected to open in the summer of 2024.
Gordon Ramsay Burger will have many of the expected Gordon Ramsay flourishes, including flames, the Union Jack and lots of Gordon Ramsay.
Here’s a look inside.
According to the official announcement, “The 8,000-square-foot space was designed by DEZMOTIF Studios and features a large exhibition kitchen, island-style bar as the restaurant’s social hub, expansive storefront windows, multiple dining zones, a nod to Britannia with Union Jack accents and dynamic flame displays throughout. Casual and inviting, the main dining room space has a warm and comfortable feel and offers views of the exhibition kitchen. The spectacular, open-air patio overlooks the bustling Las Vegas Strip and is anchored by a 25-foot-tall LED column showcasing Gordon Ramsay Burger imagery underneath the famous Flamingo neon.”
This is an awesome use of an under-utilized space, currently a dead spot at Flamingo, other than for fans of beer pong. The area used to have table games, but those are long gone, replaced by slots and electronic table games.
Here’s what Bird Bar looks like today.
Bird Bar never really caught on, despite its excellent location. It sounds like Gordon Ramsay Burger will still have a little “island-style bar” in it, despite the disappointing run of the 5 O’Clock Somewhere concept.
As with all the celebrity-branded restaurants in the Caesars Entertainment family of resorts, the venues are operated by the Caesars Entertainment food and beverage team. The chef gets five percent of the gross and is obligated to show up once a year for a promotional photo op.
Here’s more about the food at Gordon Ramsay Burger, “Guests can expect some of their favorites on the menu at the Flamingo location, such as the Hell’s Kitchen Burger, Farmhouse Burger and Hellfire Chicken Wings. To achieve a complex flavor, all burgers are cooked over an open flame fueled by hardwoods. Sides include Just Fries with house ketchup and chipotle ketchup, Truffle Parmesan Fries with truffle aioli and house ketchup, and Sweet Potato Fries with vanilla powdered sugar and honey jalapeno aioli. Those with a sweet tooth can choose from a variety of milkshakes.”
In our ever-humble opinion, Gordon Ramsay Burger lives up to the hype.
The announcement of Gordon Ramsay Burger is another sign things are perking up at Flamingo.
Also in the works is Pinky’s by Vanderpump. This Lisa Vanderpump-branded lounge is the TV personality’s third spot in Vegas, the others being at Caesars Palace and Paris.
The new Vanderpump lounge is also scheduled for summer 2024.
Pinky’s by Vanderpump will take over the Flamingo’s forgettable poker room space, along with the former Purple Zebra space facing The Strip.
As we’ve shared, there’s also a Cuban concept in the works at Flamingo, Havana 1957.
We still haven’t seen an official announcement of this restaurant, but when has that ever stopped us?
Havana 1957 is slated for the hotel’s former Tropical Breeze Cafe space.
Things are looking up at Flamingo! Flamingo is a classic casino, and was rumored to be for sale, but it seems Caesars Entertainment has decided to hold onto the old girl for a while longer (although, everything’s for sale at the right price).
The new food and drink offerings at Flamingo are fresh reasons to visit this great Las Vegas resort. As if you needed more reasons. It’s freaking Flamingo.
