South Point is nowhere near the “locals” casino that Silverton is. South Point caters to a wide range of visitors from cowboys and girls to race fans, and beyond. In my experience, as a local, it is probably the single busiest casino in Vegas most of the time. And they said Michael Gaughan was crazy for building stables and arenas for bull riding, etc. Crazy like a fox!

I love South Point, but as a local, I visit Silverton most often. They comp locals like nobody else in town, despite the less-than-perfect birthday drinks offer.
